THE SNOW FALLS IN THE WINTER

The Snow Falls in the Winter, is based loosely on the language and tone of the absurdist play The Lesson by Ionesco. It was created for the OtherShore Dance Co., and later danced by The Martha Graham Dance Co.  Making use of Ionesco’s flat tonality, his simple sentences, and his stage directions, this piece is dark, ironic, and funny. Involves text and dancing for 5 dancers. It is a 20-minute work.

Performers: Brandi Norton, Sonja Kostich, Miguel Anaya, Elizabeth DeMent, Roz LeBlanc, and Emily Coates.
